This is it. Here we go. Now I have a little stage fright. I have just moved back to my hometown that I grew up in. I have one mother, two dad's(one that raised me and one that donated sperm), two bothers, one sister, one living grandmother, 5 nephews, two uncles, five aunts, 9 cousins, and lots of second cousins. Everyone lives right here in town except for two cousins and an aunt that lives in the Fort Bragg area.
One cousin Jennifer is currently in jail for a violation of drug court for six months. After she gets out she will start drug court(probation to include drug testing randomly)over again. She will have to face 18 months of no violations or she will face her sentence of 14 years. She got caught with a meth lab, she was brought up on charges of intent to deliver and sell along with manufacturing drugs. She is allowed to come to church on Sunday's so we saw her once already.
Another cousin Bobbie has been in trouble with the law many times. He has served many months in lock up due to manufacturing, intent to distribute, DWI, and nonpayment of child support. He is currently out on parole. If he has anymore violations he will serve his full sentence which is 40 years.
Another cousin Greg passed away due to overdose.
Another cousin has been missing for a year and a half, he is presumed dead.
Another cousin Robbie stays drunk most of the time(literally). She has already tried her hand at the drug scene but is just drinking now.
I wanted to go down the list so that you would know exactly what is up in the family.
I believe the Lord has called us to stand in the gap for them. I intend to earnestly seek the Father on their benefit. God wants his people to be set free. He wants his people to live in freedom.
Galatians 5 talks about that very thing.
I believe God has a plan to give them a future and a hope. I know he loves them and every hair is numbered so I know he wants to set them free and I am looking forward to seeing that. I am vowing to the Lord God almighty that I will be up in the morning as the sun rises to pray and seek his will in their lives and his will for for that day.
